PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION - CEC COURSES CREATED AND TAUGHT BY TRACY MARKLEY

Tracy created two continuing education (CEC) courses for Fitness Professionals and those professions that work physically with the human body. Offering CEU's recognized by Fitness Credentialed Organizations including: FAI - Functional Aging Institute, ACSM, NASM, ACE, NESTA and others. Tracy has two courses. Yoga

Yoga is a 5,000+ year-old practice from India. It is a form, a science, and a way of life for many. The word Yoga means "to yoke" or "bring together" In addition to flexibility and strength, yoga can also help support the healing process, help manage stress and improve sleep.

Fall Prevention

Fall prevention requires strengthening the muscles that participate in balance, posture, proprioception, spatial awareness and full body stabilization. As the body creates the strength in muscles needed the brain begins to regain and strengthen the subconscious communications needed for spatial awareness, balance, and a safe walking gait.

Stability Ball

Training with a stability ball or fitness ball helps challenge core strength, flexibility and the proprioceptive system which are all essential for back and spine health, posture and fall prevention.

Stroke Recovery

Stroke survivors’ recovery continues long after their physical therapy ends. Tracy has Specialized in stroke recovery and created Stroke Recovery Training CEC course for fitness professionals to gain knowledge in helping a stroke survivor continue to make gains in their challenging stroke recovery journey.

Flexibility Training

Stretching is a part of Tracy's client programs as well as she teaches Stretching only sessions and classes. Flexibility, movement, and performing stretches safely is important. Tracy has specific stretch routines to fit special needs, such as hip, knee, ankle, shoulder and back pain and or tightness and more.

Mat Pilates

Pilates is a total body conditioning exercise method that combines flexibility and strength training. It develops mind, body uniformity, balance, core strength and more by focusing on the Power House. Created by Joseph Pilates.

BOSU Ball Training

Tracy holds three certifications with BOSU® and she is a Master BOSU® Trainer. The BOSU® ball is an excellent tool for training all ages for sports conditioning, everyday strength needed for everyday activities, balance, coordination and fall prevention.

Battle Rope Exercises

Battle Rope exercises are a non-impact weight resistance exercise with cardiovascular benefits that challenges the core and many of the secondary muscles needed to prevent injury and maximize rehabilitation efforts. Also great to improve balance and stabilization and Fall prevention.
